For Therapists & Student Therapists: Grow Your Practice & Career
Disclaimer: I am not a licensed clinical supervisor and will not offer clinical supervision. My offerings are strictly business-oriented for new therapists and graduate students who want to learn more about the practical, non-clinical side of this work.
Graduate school programs do what they can with the time they have to teach you the basics of sitting with a client. But there’s a whole other side of being a therapist that doesn’t get nearly enough attention: how to actually build a sustainable practice.
This is not a place to sharpen your clinical skills; this is a place to learn the nitty-gritty of the therapy business so that you can provide healthcare to people who desperately need it while also paying back your student loans and saving for retirement. You don’t have to choose between being an accessible therapist and affording to live!
And if you’re starting out in a group practice, you may eventually find yourself wondering, Is this it? Group practice can be a great way to get your feet under you, but it doesn’t have to be the final destination. There are other ways to structure your work, set your own rates, build your own caseload, create the schedule you actually want, and have more say in how you practice. Leaving the security of a group practice can feel intimidating, especially when you’re not sure what comes next. I want to help make those possibilities feel less mysterious and more doable.
I hope these meetings and downloadables (coming soon) help you learn the basics or even deepen your understanding of what’s possible in this field. My credentials? I’ve built a successful in-person therapy practice and have had a full caseload and waitlist since I opened. I didn’t do that alone, though. I had some incredible mentors who helped guide me and cheer me on when I was ready to give up.
THAT is what this space is meant to be.
I want to offer guidance and support that’s tailored to you—not just a general overview of steps to take that may or may not fit your specific needs. Bring me your questions, your half-formed ideas, your “is this even possible?” thoughts, or the thing you’ve been Googling for three hours and still can’t figure out. We’ll talk it through together.
This is my way of giving back.

Opening a private practice can be exciting, but it can also feel like there are a million things to figure out. I've gone through the process myself, and I want to make that process feel a little less overwhelming for other therapists.
In this 1-hour consultation, we'll talk through your questions and where you are in the process—from getting started and thinking through your services to marketing, networking, policies, paperwork, and building a practice that works for you.
Following the consultation I’ll send you a document that covers everything we talked about during the consultation so that you have something to refer back to throughout your private practice journey. If we can’t cover all of your questions, or if more pop up, you can reach out to schedule additional 30-minute or 1-hour consultations at a discounted rate.
Come with your questions, ideas, or even a blank slate. We'll figure out some practical next steps together.
This offering is based on my own experience and is intended as educational and practical support, not legal, financial, or clinical supervision.
For newer therapists who want a little extra support
Sometimes you don't need a formal course or a long-term mentor, you just need someone to talk things through with and answer your burning questions.
These one-on-one consultations offer a supportive space to bring your questions, challenges, or ideas. We can talk through navigating your first job, setting boundaries, advocating for yourself, building confidence, networking, or simply figuring out what's next.
Think of it as a judgment-free space to talk with someone who's been in your shoes and can help you think through your next steps.
This offering is for professional support and education and is not clinical supervision or therapy.
Pricing Transparency
I’ve chose to offer tiered pricing for The Group Practice Exit to accommodate different financial abilities. The more experienced therapist, the more expensive the offering. This is so I’m able to offer reduced fee options for students and newly licensed clinicians.
